Welcome to the Law Office of Marc Meyer, PLLC!

Welcome to the Law Office of Marc Meyer, PLLC!  Marc is an attorney and registered nurse licensed in the state of Texas.

Representing Nurses, Physicians and Allied Healthcare Practitioners

With the advent of tort reform, the number of lawsuits against medical providers has dramatically decreased.  Concurrently, the number of complaints filed with the Texas Medical Board, the Texas Board of Nursing and all of the allied healthcare licensing boards have dramatically increased as patients have shifted their venue for airing their complaints.  Marc advises, counsels and represents nurses, physicians and allied health-care practitioners in all matters related to their practice before their respective licensing boards and in all courts in the state of Texas.  If you are a health-care practitioner and need more information about the services offered by the Law Office of Marc Meyer, PLLC, please follow this link.  If you need immediate attention regarding a pending legal issue, follow this link for contact information.

Representing and Serving Healthcare Business Organizations: Formation, Planning and Compliance

Marc works with Healthcare business organizations, both for-profit and non-profit, from the new Start-up/Formation stage, through the Growth phase and finally all the way to the Mature phase.  By identifying the legal risks associated with business operations, Marc helps keep the focus of the business owner on the operational aspects of the business rather than the legal aspects.  Marc has experience as a small-business owner-operator, medical billing and compliance, and in both supervisory and management roles in healthcare.  If you represent a healthcare business and need more information about the services offered by the Law Office of Marc Meyer, PLLC, please follow this link.  If you need immediate attention regarding a pending legal issue, follow this link for contact information.

Estate Planning and Administration

Marc also provides estate planning  and administration services to health-care practitioners and residents of Montgomery County, Texas.  Estate planning involves much more than just a will.  Among other documents, a full estate plan should include a medical power of attorney and directive to physicians and designation of guardianship for minor children.  If you don’t have these documents, your wishes may not be honored if you are incapacitated or pass away unexpectedly.  And administration of an estate may involve a simple application for probate and letters testamentary or it may involve a full-blown will contest by a contingent beneficiary that may have a superior claim under the Texas intestate succession law.  If you have questions about estate planning and administration, please see the Estate Planning page (under construction) or follow this link for contact information.
